What to do with a rainy day?

This past Saturday my social calendar was over booked. And then ended up being a dud...

So first of all it was the National Book Festival and my life idol Paula Deen was going to be there signing books.

Then I found out my dear friend Kristen was coming in town from NYC and wanted to meet up.

Then my best friend Michelle decided she wanted to celebrate her birthday at the Octoberfest at National Harbor. And then go to the "Party Mansion" for an evening of fun.

But my other best girl friend Tarah, also requested my help in preparing for her impending wedding.

So with much angst I decided to forgo meeting Paula Deen, and attend Octoberfest for Michelle's Birthday...because birthdays are special...and my darling husband was much more excited about drinking beer, than waiting in line to meet Paula Deen.

But then my friend Kristen called to tell me she was at the Book Festival and wanted to meet up. :-( so I missed her.

Then we met up with Michelle and Jeremy and decided that since it was raining that we didn't want to go to Octoberfest. :-( So we ended up going to a sports bar to watch the Wake Forest football game. Which was fun... but Wake lost... so not really fun.

So atleast we had a chance to sorta celebrate Michelle's birthday...but over all the rain ruined all my plans...and I didn't get to fill up my social calendar at all.
